In ongoing discussion with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), industry leaders emphasised the critical need for the events sector to be recognized as a government's priority sectors’ along with tourism and hospitality.

On the back of the Labour conference, the industry is encouraged by the government to commit to apprenticeships and skill-based learning. The events industry is calling for a more flexible and supportive apprenticeship program to meet the evolving needs of the sector.
