Advocating for the events industry
The UK’s events industry is a vital component of the economy, contributing approximately £60 billion annually and employing between 600,000 and 700,000 people. Despite this significance, the sector has historically been underrecognized in government priority lists, limiting the support it receives to address pressing challenges.
In a recent discussion with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), Events Apprenticeships highlighted the need for the events sector to be a government-designated priority sector.
